Caribbean Community Theatre Presents RENT

Caribbean Community Theatre (CCT) will debut their anticipated rock musical RENT tonight, February 7 at 8 p.m.  The show will run over three weekends each Friday and Saturday night through February 22, with one matinee on Sunday, February 16 at 4 p.m.

RENT opened on Broadway in the late nineties.  It is an edgy, modern show about living with HIV / AIDS in New York City.  Principals include one heterosexual couple and two homosexual couples, one with a transgender character.  The underlying messages of acceptance and equality are beautifully paired with humor and raw reality.  RENT was written by the late Jonathan Larson and is directed on St. Croix by Michael Armendariz.
