When you relocate to St. Croix, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many great places there are to dine.
Here are some highlights on the north shore (really the north west shore).
Formerly called Full Moon, eat @ cane bay is the quintessential beach bar and restaurant, located steps from the sand. Though it was recently sold, the proprietors for the past few years (known best for Bacchus restaurant) have taken it to a new level. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere gives a laid-back island vibe.
Don’t miss their full moon parties and reggae brunch on Sundays. For lunch you can build your own salad or burger with a host of unexpected ingredients. At dinner there’s an eclectic menu with food shot options. Plus their frozen cocktails are delicious.
Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa
This beautiful resort has a couple of great dining options, including the Pirate’s Buffet on Friday nights and a Sunday Brunch Buffet (meant to be enjoyed with mimosas). Both take place in the Saman Room with optional seating on the terrace overlooking the beach.
The Pirate’s Buffet includes an eclectic mix of cuisine with lots of seafood options, like crab legs and peel-and-eat shrimp. Entertainment includes a live band and DJ later in the night. There is also a performance by local Moko Jumbie dancers.
Somewhat of a sports bar, Rowdy Joe’s is a great little spot to eat and enjoy a ball game or round of darts. Choose seating on their breezy patio, or inside and try to identify all the photos of people named Joe on the wall (i.e. Joe Biden, Joe Montana, etc.).
Don’t miss their Pepper Jack Mac Attack appetizer. The Blue Cheese Cheesecake Salad is something truly different and rich. A popular and delicious entree is the Blackened Fish Tacos. You musn’t leave without trying their homemade ice cream for dessert.
