A beautiful new line of jewelry deemed the island roots collection is now available at Joyia Inspirational Jewelry, just in time for the holidays. The jewelry store is located on Queen Cross Street (between Company and King) in Christiansted. Inspired by the appearance of mangrove trees, the intertwined design is available in rings or bracelets, which are specialized for men, women and babies. Metal options include sterling silver, 14 karat gold, or a blend of the two. Intentions of the island roots line are to instill pride and respect family.
The island roots series is unique to Joyia Inspirational Jewelry, as it is the first designed by Joyia’s husband, Carlo Pedrini. The birth of their first son, Achille Croix (pictured), inspired the designs as a fifth generation Crucian.
According to Pedrini: The design of Island Roots is made after the mangrove trees near the [St. Croix] beaches I grew up fishing in. We’d listen to roots reggae like Midnite, Abja, and Marley. Island Roots gives positive vibes, strength and respect to each of its wearers.
Joyia Inspirational Jewelry will host their annual Wine and Wishes event this Friday, December 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at their Christiansted store and online JoyiaJewelry.com. She encourages customers to make wish lists at her (brick and mortar or online) stores, from which significant others or friends can shop. Drop by, have a glass of wine, and try on new pieces.
