Special Olympics Virgin Islands to be held this Weekend

Special Olympics U.S. Virgin Islands athletes from all three islands will compete for medals this Saturday, March 29 at Renaissance Park.

The community is encouraged to attend the opening parade and spectate the competitions beginning at 9:15 a.m. 

Sports will include track / field, wheelchair races, basketball, tennis, bocce, and a softball throw. 

When funding allows, winners from this competition go to the Special Olympics World Games, which is held once every four years.
