St. Croix Summer Camps

    Little child swimmingSt. Croix schools are out for the summer, so kids have extra hours to play.  Even if you’ve missed the start date for some of these options, most accept new students throughout the summer as space permits.  Camps are offered Monday through Friday unless otherwise noted.  Here are a few options for kids to spend their summers learning and experiencing new things on-island:

     

    Stone House Preschool

    Dates / Times: June 6 – August 12 / 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Location: mid-island near the Judith’s Fancy neighborhood

    Ages: 2 – preschool

    Activities: splash days, science experiments, making ice cream, arts and crafts, etc.

    AZ Academy Big Island Adventure Camp

    Dates / Times: June 13 through August 19 / 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Location: west of Christiansted, east of the Golden Rock intersection

    Ages: 3 – 13

    Activities: hiking, swimming, sailing, kayaking, hand fishing, beach combing, etc.

    St. Croix Montessori

    Dates / Times: June 13 – August 5 / 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Location: west of Christiansted, west of the Golden Rock intersection

    Ages: 2.5 – 12

    Activities: options include science / art enrichment, bush skills / eco-adventure, music, etc.

    St. Croix Yacht Club Summer Sailing Program

    Dates / Times: June 20 – July 29 / 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Location: east end on the north shore

    Ages: 5 – 18

    Activities: little ones are introduced to the sport of sailing, while older children develop their skills on specific boats

    St. Croix Dolphins Summer Swim Camp

    Dates / Times: June 6 – August 26 / 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Location: Good Hope Country Day School mid-island

    Ages: 4 – 13

    Activities: children learn to swim, advanced swimmers master new strokes

    Tropical Ten Pins Youth Summer Bowling Program

    Dates / Times: June 18 – August 13 (Saturdays)

    Location: mid-island in Castle Coakley

    Ages: 4 – 17

    Activities: younger children enjoy bumper bowling, while junior bowlers are coached on standard lanes
