The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center (AWC) provides and encourages the humane treatment of animals through education, protection and service to the community.  This not-for-profit organization takes care of the abused, neglected and unwanted animals of the island.  Funds raised from bartender’s tips at this event will go toward meals, health care and foster / forever home placement for shelter animals.

Extensions of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center include the flea market at Basson Triangle and The Blue Mutt on Company Street in Christiansted.  The organization is always seeking volunteers and donations.  Volunteer opportunities include Pets from Paradise, which partners with stateside shelters to transfer animals on commuter flights.
