Here are some new restaurants to look forward to trying on St. Croix this upcoming season:
Uptown Eatery is a new restaurant on Queen Cross Street in Christiansted. Next door to Joyia jewelry, well-known restaurateurs Dave and Jane Kendrick recently opened this quaint restaurant, serving lunch and dinner.
Located on the Frederiksted waterfront near Polly’s at the Pier, this new bar and restaurant specializes in appetizers and small bites. They focus on fresh cocktails, fine wine and draft beer. Offering billiards in their air-conditioned space, or outdoor seating to enjoy a sunset.
Todd Manley and Brant Pell are at it again! The founders of Toast Diner and 40 Strand Street Eatery in Christiansted have taken on a food truck. Seahorse Republic is the red food truck (formerly Ana’s Living Food) which is currently parked at the intersection on the east end of the bypass. The menu is vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free offering soup, bowls, smoothies and specials.
Common Sense
The former Tavern 1844 will soon open as the Common Sense, run by a previous Tavern bartender. The location is the well-known cave of a bar on Company Street in Christiansted next to asha clothing.
The former Red Right Return restaurant and bar in Christiansted is now the Nauti Bar & Grille, specializing in barbecue. The location is adjacent to Bryan’s Marine on the Hospital Street waterfront, overlooking Gallows Bay / Altona Lagoon and next door to Savant.
