The Anatomy of a Perfect Beach Day

ParadiseThere is perhaps nothing more relaxing than laying back in a beach chair as a cool sea breeze blows off the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Staring off at the horizon brings with it, a tranquility capable of curing any stress this world brings upon us. But just like the choice of our favorite go-to wine to end a busy day, or the type of music that soothes our souls, the perfect beach day is a matter of personal taste.

It all starts off with the choice of beach. Do you enjoy a pillowy-soft sandy beach, that treats your feet to the equivalent of a high-dollar spa treatment, as you go back-and-forth between your beach chair and the cooling ocean? (Buck Island or Sandy Point might be just your style). Or maybe you’re more adventurous and crave a secluded beach that requires a nice hike off the beaten path to access (check out Jack and Issac’s Bay).

A beach day doesn’t always have to be about peace and quiet, or finding your inner balance again. Sometimes you want a beach that is ripe for excitement. A place you can get in a few games of sand volleyball and then kayak/paddle board/jet ski out into the ocean to get your blood flowing (Rainbow is a go-to Sunday fun day spot!).

Regardless of your beach style, the perfect beach day really just requires you to get out and find a beach. The Caribbean Sea and the sand usually know how to take care of the rest. On St. Croix you can find a beach to satisfy almost any preference. So why not come down to a place where every weekend is a new chance to find out what the perfect beach day is to you!
