Recently a U.S. Virgin Islands team, including Isabelle Picard of St. Croix, took second place in the annual British Virgin Island’s Painkiller Cup.
This stand-up paddle-board (SUP) competition is 14 miles long, starting on the north side of Tortola and ending at Jost Van Dyke at Soggy Dollar Bar. Details about the race may be found here: http://www.supthemag.com/features/industry-news/hawaiians-dominate-bvis-painkiller-cup/. Photo credit: Todd VanSickle, The BVI Beacon
Just another perk of island life! Get outside and stay active even in January. Island hop to participate (or just spectate) in a host of thrilling events. Our own Chris Hanley enjoys paddle-boarding as well (pictured below, lower right).
