East End Real Estate

The East End is fairly cut and dry…it is comprised of the East End Quarter “A” (EA) and the East End Quarter “B” (EB) and includes all of the estates (estates=neighborhoods) contained therein. The East End “A” starts directly east of Christiansted—sometimes referred to as “near east”. Gallows Bay, a popular shopping and business area, is located on the border of EA and CH quarters. Gallows Bay is home to the Port Authority Cargo Dock and the St. Croix/St. Thomas Fast Ferry port. St. Croix Marina is located on the waterfront just east of the Fast Ferry docks. Green Cay Marina is located within this area as well as the Buccaneer Hotel and the Tamarind Reef Hotel. Green Cay island, a protected bird sanctuary, is located directly north of this quarter. East End Quarter “B” is the farthest eastern quarter on the island and the farthest eastern point of the United States at Point Udall. The St. Croix Yacht Club and Cramer’s Park are located within this quarter as well as Jack’s and Isaac’s Bay, a protected beach area owned by the Nature Conservancy. The Divi Hotel and Casino is also located in this quarter on the waterfront in Estate Grapetree. Buck Island National Park is located one mile directly north of this area. This is the most arid part of the island and the landscape tends to be more desert-like than the rest of the island. You’ll see many varieties of cacti, yucca, and other succulents spotted around the hills. There are several restaurants in this area as well as boat charter operators for fishing and Buck Island trips.
