Schooner Bay

Encircling the hillside above Gallows Bay, Schooner Bay Condominiums has 62 two- and three-bedroom single-level units, distributed among five three-story buildings. All have private outdoor galleries with sea views of Christiansted Harbor or Altona Lagoon.
The hillside complex has two community pools and a tennis court. Owners are permitted to keep one dog or cat with approval of the HOA. Schooner Bay is among the few St. Croix condo communities with a full-complex backup generator.
Fort Augusta

On the north side of the Schooner Bay Condos sits Fort Augusta. Its three buildings contain 26 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, all with private balconies that offer a sea view over the St. Croix Marina and Altona Lagoon.
The Gallows Bay complex has a hilltop community pool and relatively low HOA fees. Owners are permitted to have cats with board approval. Note: It’s not super-common for Fort Augusta units to come up for sale, so act fast if you see one.
Kirkegade Hus

In the heart of downtown Christiansted is Kirkegade Hus. This small complex has 8 two-, three-, and four-bedroom units within two buildings, one two-story and the other three-story, on a refurbished historic property.
The hillside complex features underground parking and a full-property backup generator. It is pet-friendly, with board approval. Rentals are limited to leases of at least three months. While Kirkegade Hus lacks a pool, the complex has low HOA fees. Given its small size, units don’t come to market often.
Questa Verde

Questa Verde’s 13 hilltop buildings encircles a large community pool.
High in the Hermon Hill neighborhood above the Christiansted Bypass is Questa Verde, located just a five-minute drive south of downtown Christiansted. Distributed within its 13 two- and three-story buildings are 68 two- and three-bedroom units, most multilevel, and all with private courtyards, patios, and/or galleries.
The hilltop gated complex has a centrally located Olympic-sized community pool. Owners with board approval may have no more than two total pets: small dogs (less than 25 pounds) or two cats. Questa Verde also has a full-complex backup generator.
Maison de Poincy

The Maison de Poincy Condominiums are located behind the Beeston Hill Medical Center and five minutes southwest of Christiansted town. The complex’s six buildings contain 14 one- and two-bedroom units, some two-level and some with private outdoor spaces.
Its grounds feature historic ruins including a sugar mill as well as two community pools. The HOA permits pets, with board approval: one cat or one dog under 20 pounds. Maison de Poincy is another complex that rarely has units on the market.
Bay Garden

A budget-friendly apartment-style complex, Bay Garden Condominiums is composed of 86 one- and two-bedroom units within four two-story buildings.
The gated complex has a community pool and is located less than 10 minutes west of downtown Christiansted. It also has relatively low HOA fees. Pets are not permitted in Bay Garden.
Long Reef

Just behind and up the hill from Bay Gardens is Long Reef Condominiums. Its two- and three-story buildings dot the hillside and comprise 82 studio efficiency and one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartment-style units, all with small front patios or balconies.
The gated complex, located less than 10 minutes west of town, has a large community pool and views over Christiansted Harbor. Long Reef also has relatively low HOA fees and doesn’t allow pets.
Queen’s Ridge

Queen’s Ridge’s 32 quaint one-bedroom units are divided among eight identical two-story buildings. The upper level units feature vaulted ceilings and small front balconies, while the lower level have small front patios.
The complex has a community pool and is located just down the street from the JFL hospital and 15 minutes west of Christiansted town. Dogs under 25 pounds and cats are permitted for owners with board approval. Queen’s Ridge also has relatively low HOA fees.
